The sudden outbreak and dramatic impact of the coronavirus created panic, empty store shelves and uncertainty amongst shoppers, supply chain and food stores. Since there was no playbook for this crisis we at the New Jersey Food Council (NJFC) have remained steadfast in advocating for the well-being and safety of our lifeline members, the NJ food distribution industry.
During these unprecedented times, we continue to serve as “boots on the ground” and to work closely with our government partners, rally behind the challenges of our food industry members, inform the public and support our workforce. Our tireless efforts ensure that members are provided the voice and information their business needs to stay in business.
Our crisis management approach, data sharing and instant dissemination of information about the needs of our members with federal and state departments makes NJFC a critical part of your operations, supply chain and executive decision making team.
We know food supply chain forces and challenges to this public health emergency are profound and NJFC actively works with State and federal officials and the Governor’s Office to provide input and guidance as we work through this pandemic crisis.
